This program prepares industry professionals to teach career and technical education courses in Washington State high schools. Designed for individuals with specialized skills in their industry expertise who meet the WA STATE OSPI Industry/Teaching Hour Requirements, the CTE Plan 2: Business & Industry Route Certificate is fully online, asynchronous learning program following the EWU Academic Quarter while providing a non-credit clock hour offering.
- The Plan 2 Clock Hour option is a non-credit route ideal for those seeking certification while earning clock hours.
- This program requires learners apply and be approved to program prior to enrollment in courses. (See steps below)
- This program has a practicum placement requirement (60 hours in an appropriate classroom setting with an approved CTE Instructor).
- IMPORTANT: CTE Plan 2 is for Specialty Areas within Agriculture, Business & Marketing, Family & Consumer Sciences, Health & Human Services, and Skills & Technology Sciences.
- The plan 2 CTE program will not gain the CTE Agriculture V010000, Business & Marketing Ed V078000, CTE Family & Consumer Science Ed V200002, or CTE Technology Ed V210100 VCODES.
- This is the EWU Community CTE Plan 2 Clock Hour offering. For students in the ESD 105 Cohort - please contact pce@ewu.edu for instructions on registration.

STEP TWO: REGISTER for classes (below) - $200.00/10 clock hours additional fee's may apply
STEP THREE: EARN clock hours as you complete your classes (emailed directly to student)

STEP FOUR: APPLY for your practicum (form registration and approval through EWU School of Education is required) students who have not completed AND been approved for their site location/site mentor prior to registering for course will be dropped.
STEP FIVE: CONFIRM all required paperwork is completed
